No spitting!!

When I was trying to take a kid pic, I caught this one and just love it--Sisters, Sisters, never had a better friend than sisters...

Maya's newest talent...spitting. Lily often reminds her that there is No Spitting!

"I love you!" Maya knows sign language!! Just kidding, this is how she soothes herself to sleep, sucking these fingers! this is also a classic shot of her 'wild hair'

Boo!

'Happy Halloween' to all!

This year we had 2 medieval maidens, a dragon, a florescent frankenstein and a gorilla--that scared all the little trick-or-treaters.

As always, we enjoyed 'Dinner in a Pumpkin' before trick -or- treating. We tried a variation this year that we enjoyed-- I saved the pieces we cut from our jack o lanterns (done Halloween afternoon) and peeled off the skin. Then I cubed it and popped in the microwave to jumpstart it. I made the usual rice and meat mixture, but tossed in the half cooked cubed pumpkin, and baked the casserole. The presentation wasn't as cute but more kid friendly. I even told Lily the orange chunks were cantelope--she didn't ask questions and devoured it. (I later told her it was pumpkin; and she likes it!)

Baby Playtime!

This intense baby playtime is brought to you by 'Bumbo', the amazing baby seat, and a 'floor gym' in an effort to not mess up her hair before church.

Maya's wild hair, the pigtail phaze

80 years!

We celebrated 80 years!
I did this cake for the party his wife threw for him and the Fam. I love the fall.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

I love old people...they can get away with doing whatever they please and no one can say a thing about it--I can't wait til I'm 80!

iPhone Club and other Fall Fun

Where we live there is an elite club, if you will, of men that all possess an iPhone. Induction into said club is simply obtaining their own iPhone. Their meetings include others, but interaction/participation is indeed limited. It is believed that having an iPhone enables greater access to knowledge and eventually power of all the universe. The name of this said club we speak of is Elders Quorum! (insert giant eye-roll here) Apparently it's a must in our ward to have all the scriptures and JS manuals on your small electronic device--or you just don't fit in!

4 months old--her cheeks just keep getting bigger!

She's had a birthday, Shout 'Hooray!'

Matchy, matchy golfers

And we went to the pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin (after a hayride, of course!)

Think Pink!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. My mother is a mammographer (someone who takes x-rays of boobs, screening for cancer) and has always made us aware of our personal family history and EARLY DETECTION!!! I'll bet we all know someone that has had Breast Cancer and I'm sure we'd all like to have a cure! But until then Early detection is the best prevention!! So ladies, PLEASE do your self-breast exams and if you're old enough, get your regular mammograms!! It can save your LIFE!!

On on funnier note, there are some pretty silly t-shirts out there to remind us...here are a few of my favorites:

  • Save a life, Squish a Boob
  • Save our Boobs!
  • (for babies/little girls) Find a cure before I grow boobs!
  • Booby-licious
  • Think Pink
  • I fight like a girl
  • Of course they're fake! My real ones tried to kill me!

The County Fair!!

This is Maya at 3 months!! This pic was taken at 11:30 at night; luckily this was an isolated incident and she's usually sleeping--but she sure was giggly that night! Don't you want to touch her hair!

I finished a few blankets and entered them in the county fair...both got a blue ribbon!
I loved this pink/brown blanket I did for Maya.

The kids loved riding the rides at the fair!

We got up early and did the 2mile walk that they do during the fair. We all placed (in our age groups) and got a ribbon!!

Keoni and JL were lucky enough to get an extra long ride when the power went out--they sure enjoyed the view from the top of the ferris wheel.

We loved going to grandma's fair!

I bought these goggles and they wouldn't take them off--50 cents well spent, I guess!

Sorry, turn your head--Keoni's first day of Pre-K, he's so excited!
