Cinco de Mustache

For some reason, every year the private, catholic dental school, with their strict code of dress and grooming standards, holds an unofficial 'Cinco de Mustache Contest.' As many of you know, my manly hubby is a facial hair artist and has whole-heartedly participated each year...

RDEP BBQ

Eric stepped in for Celeste on this one...silly boys!

We had a BBQ with John Lee's RDEP classmates. The 10 dental students that were able to do their first year in UT and then join their other 75 classmates in Omaha for years 2-4. It's been so fun to go to dental school with these great people and their families!

Board Results...

He Passed! We are so proud of John Lee and all his hard work! This 2-day exam with 4 patients was the most intense, difficult practical exam he's ever had to take. Now we just need to apply for a state license, get a job and move (all TBA.)

Dental Banquet

What do you wear to a fancy banquet when you're 8 months prego?  A little pink number! It was fun to get dressed up and go to the banquet with some of our Dental friends. Don't you love John Lee's shiny blue suit!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! Thanks Nana for the darling Easter outfits!

We dyed eggs this year...so fun!

The Easter Bunny came to our house (at night, while we were sleeping -we had to explain) and hid some eggs around our house. Keoni and Lily loved it!

Sewing, sewing, sewing!

I finished a few sewing projects-hooray!

This one is my 'Friendship Quilt' that I made with some of the Dental Wives. Each person made 25 pinwheels and then we all traded- I like it!

I tried some 'free-hand quilting' so the pink border is a flowery design, the yellow border is some loops, and the pinwheels is one continuous line that never overlaps!

This is a strip quilt I did for Lily's 'new' bed. It was fun to choose the different fabrics. I quilted a different pattern in each kind of fabric.

This is my ugly practice quilt, but I learned alot doing it!

And this is what my  kids have been doing while I sew!
